M.C. Records Celebrates Black History Month With Its 6th Annual BHM Playlist

M.C. Records is proud to announce our 6th annual Black History Month playlist. All the songs are different from last year, bringing the total to 15 tracks. Many of these tracks are from our Grammy-nominated recordings and feature music spanning over 25 years of our releases.

Our BHM playlist includes music by Odetta, Guy Davis, Catherine Russell, Marie Knight, Big Jack Johnson, Sherman Holmes, Wild Child Butler, Ruth Brown, Cyril Neville, Pinetop Perkins, Toshi Reagon, The Lee Boys, and Eric Bibb

Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.
