Jack's Waterfall American Roots Project

The American Roots Music Project is the debut by Jack's Waterfall honoring blues and New Orleans piano traditions. Featuring 10 new originals, the project spans everything from funky piano grooves on 'My Baby's Gone a Long Time' to ragtime stylings on 'Jack's Rag.' Co-produced by Brian Unger and Grammy-nominated Mark Carpentieri, the tight trio includes Jack Licitra, Trifon Dmitrov, and Carpentieri himself. Standout collaborations include harmonica from Steve Demanchick, reuniting with Licitra after 20 years. Inspired by encounters with piano legends like Pinetop Perkins and Henry Butler, Jack's Waterfall brings soul, energy, and deep appreciation for the tradition to each track. A joyful album for both musicians and listeners, supported by special shows in New York and a stop at The Blues Museum in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
