Stripped Down In Memphis is a collection of songs that comes from two sessions recorded in Memphis. The first was recorded in 1998 with Wild Child Butler, the second are unreleased tracks from Big Jack’s “The Memphis Barbecue Sessions” with Kim Wilson. This album is a raw and rich blues collection, highlighting Big Jack on acoustic, electric guitar, and mandolin, with harmonica performances by Butler and Wilson—no amplification, just pure, honest blues.
